This new fruity drink is one of a pair with an Apple and Pear version. Together, they represent part of a growing adult soft drinks offer from AG Barr, creators of Scotland’s favourite pop Irn Bru.
Although it’s produced with sparkling water and fruit juice, it’s packaged like a cider and sold by Sainsbury’s alongside their alcohol-free beers and ciders. Tastewise, it sits more with modern sweet ciders than with traditional farmyard ciders. However, it doesn’t have the heavy sweetness of, say, Kopparberg or Rekorderlig, and it could be a good option for anyone who likes fruit cider but also wants less alcohol and less sugar.
