A review of Fürstenberg Pilsener Alkoholfrei, a traditional alcohol-free German beer.
Score:
4/5
The Fürstenberg brewery is in the Black Forest region of Germany, and they’ve been making beer there since 1283. Back then, King Rudolf I of Germany granted the right to brew beer to a local lord, whose coat of arms still appears on every bottle.
It’s quite pale for a lager, and quite bitter – more like a weißbier, maybe – which makes it stand out a bit in the lager market. It’s definitely not short on flavour, and if you like traditional German beers, it may be just what you’re looking for.
